The tragedy of mankind is that we don't recognize our own mistakes. The Earth, wearing the face of a child neglected and abused, is unresponsive to the embrace of the man. Instead, the careworn Earth casts its eyes away as tears flow down the Pacific Ocean.

Sometimes it can be too late to apologize. When the damage that has been done is irrevocable. No amount of regret will fix our only planet if we ruin it. Let us pray that it is not too late.
