The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers:
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our heart's away...

~William Wordsworth

A mother's nature is simple – to love. This was the artist's inspiration for these four canvases of nature themes and muted earth tones. The canvases are unified by a large face, defined by elements of the landscape. The face is symbolic of our one mother shared by all mankind and all too often forgotten, Mother Nature. A mother's love is with us all throughout our lives no matter what path we take.

This is true for Mother Nature as well, despite our wanton disregard for her. If only we would love her like our own mother. What a wonderful place this world would be. Yet just like our own mother, Mother Earth's love for us has always been, will always be, undying. She is the glue that holds us together. The tree, the symbol of life, reminds us of this undying love. It's roots run deep taking us back to our roots, our hometown, our childhood, past memories of the things that were pure, and right, and natural.
